Located in Zhuhai City’s Xiangzhou District, this comprehensive museum integrates humanistic history and marine civilization. Featuring the theme “Zhuhai Memories,” it connects a millennium of civilization through five thematic exhibition halls. Highlights include bronze ware from the Shang and Zhou dynasties, calligraphy by Tang and Song scholars, and Qing Dynasty customs archives, with the “Zhuhai Fishermen’s Village Folk Culture Hall” being particularly distinctive, showcasing the survival wisdom of the Lingnan fishing area through fishing boat models and reconstructed fishing village scenes. Entering the “Marine Civilization Hall,” giant aquariums with South China Sea coral and pearl species engage in a dialogue with Ming Dynasty nautical charts and Zheng He’s voyages-related artifacts. The “Bay Area Memories” exhibition hall uses holographic projection technology to recreate the scene of Sun Yat-sen inspecting Zhuhai in 1925, accompanied by his manuscripts and photos, showcasing this revolutionary pioneer’s patriotism. The museum also houses charts donated by Ronghui and trade ledgers from the Zhuhai merchant guilds during the Republic of China era, witnessing the city’s open genes. As a cultural landmark of the Greater Bay Area, the Zhuhai Museum presents Zhuhai’s transformation from a fishing village to a modern metropolis through immersive displays of artifacts and scenes, blending marine civilization and human spirit.
