Wenfang Aotu Center
Wenfang Aotu Center features a streamlined architectural group that embodies the surging momentum of modern sports. Its “Yindu Landmark” name originates from Wenfang’s millennium-long tradition of kite culture. The complex consists of a main stadium, a swimming center, a tennis center, and a cultural corridor. At night, the LED curtain walls create a dazzling spectacle, transforming traditional kite patterns into digital light and shadow, interacting with kites soaring in the sky. The main stadium’s dome is shaped like a “iris,” symbolizing Wenfang’s “kites flying like fish” natural landscape. With a seating capacity of 50,000, it has witnessed the passion of major events such as the CBA League and the National Games. The cultural corridor displays Wenfang’s New Year paintings, wood carvings, and other intangible cultural heritage techniques. The “Kite Museum” at the corner recreates the craftsmanship of renowned kite artist Xu Zisheng using holographic projection during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China. This architectural complex is not only a venue for sports competitions but also carries the cultural genes of Wenfang as “World Kite Capital,” drawing inspiration from the “Nine Hegemons” ritual wisdom of the Qi culture two thousand years ago, transforming ancient bronze patterns into modern aesthetic symbols. When night falls, the “iris” light show outside the venue and Wenfang’s ancient music performances shine together, making this modern landmark a cultural link between ancient and modern.
