Nanfeng Ancient Stove
Nanfeng Ancient Stove is located in Shiawan, Foshan, and is the only still-operating ancient stove in China. It is known as a “living ceramic fossil,” witnessing the thousand-year inheritance and brilliance of Foshan ceramic burning techniques. Its core highlight is “live transmission” – to this day, it still uses traditional charcoal burning techniques to ignite a raging flame, with the kiln fire never extinguished, and the skills never ceased. Inside the scenic area, the dragon kiln ruins and the modern ceramic museum reflect each other, the ancient stove area preserves the kiln structure since the Ming Dynasty, the brick-built kiln body has weathered hundreds of years of wind and frost, still emitting a warm, russet red luster, as if telling the story of time sedimentation.
