Han Cheng Ancient City Wall
Han Cheng Ancient City Wall was built during the Ming Dynasty, approximately five kilometers in length, constructed using rammed earth techniques, and remains remarkably intact to this day. It is renowned as “a giant dragon on the Loess Plateau.” The wall stands 10 meters high and 6 meters wide, featuring machicolations, arrow towers, and a fortress, with a complete defensive system. It is one of the best-preserved Ming Dynasty city walls in the Guanzhong region. Climbing the wall provides a view of the Yellow River’s ceaseless flow and distant, majestic mountains, allowing visitors to feel the grandeur of “Yellow River Number One City,” and to appreciate the wisdom and craftsmanship of ancient military defense.
