A Sacred Site Dedicated to Mencius, showcasing the historical progression of Confucian thought, featuring a complex of Ming Dynasty buildings blending with the remnants of the Song and Yuan Dynasties, presenting a hierarchical ritualistic layout known as “Temple-School Unity.” The three-courtyard complex includes the Lingxing Gate, the Da Cheng Hall, and the Book Repository, each progressively built with red walls and grey tiles inscribed with the “Benevolent Governance” philosophy, echoing through a thousand years. The Meng Fu’s five gates and four courtyards maintain the formal architectural style of the Ming Dynasty, with stone carvings, inscriptions, and ancient cypresses creating a harmonious scene, particularly notable for the “Mencius Meeting with Liang Hui Wang” bronze statue and the bamboo scroll copies of “Mencius.”
