Konglin, located in Sishui County, Jinan, Shandong, is a group of tombs for Confucius and his descendants, known as “The First Forest in the World.” Here, there are nearly 10,000 ancient pines, with ages exceeding a thousand years, creating a sea of green, with twisted branches, witnessing two and a half thousand years of Confucian tradition. Numerous inscriptions are scattered throughout the grove, with over 100,000 stone carvings from the Han to Qing dynasties, resembling an open-air “Stone Book Museum.” Each stone tablet is a reflection of history.
