Jinan Animal Park is located in the City of Jinan, the largest comprehensive animal park in North China, integrating natural ecology and human landscape. The park’s core concept is “harmony between man and nature,” creating five themed areas: Panda House, Beast Zone, Children’s Fun Zone, Waterfowl Lake, and Plant Science Zone, forming an immersive experience of “observing four seasons in every step, like a painting scroll.” The Panda House features a simulated wild bamboo forest environment, and the national treasure pandas “Tuan Tuan” and “Yun Yun”’s cute appearance makes visitors linger. The Beast Zone innovatively sets up glass tiger viewing platforms, allowing visitors to observe the majesty of tigers and lions up close. The Children’s Fun Zone features a multi-terrain adventure area and a dream-like water world, allowing parent-child interaction filled with laughter. On the shores of Waterfowl Lake, the Swan Lake and Plant Science Zone’s four-season flower seas perfectly showcase natural aesthetics. This animal park, established in 1954, carries Jinan’s ecological memory for over sixty years. Its architectural style integrates Chinese traditional garden wisdom, drawing inspiration from the “searching and seeking, cold and quiet” atmosphere depicted by the Song Dynasty female poet Li Qingzhao, incorporating Jinan’s unique “spring culture” into landscape design. The park’s existing Republican-era animal specimen hall houses exotic bird specimens brought back by Zheng He during his voyages of exploration, becoming a dialogue across time and space. Here, every leaf tells the eternal theme of harmony between man and nature.
