Luoyang Ancient City Wall
Luoyang Ancient City Wall, a heavy poem preserved from the Ming Dynasty, constructed with blue bricks and gray tiles, creating a time tunnel of thirteen ancient capitals. The wall’s circumference is 21.5 kilometers, with 12 existing rammed earth foundations, the widest point reaching 18 meters, and a height of 12 meters, resembling a dragon coiled on the Iluo Plain, witnessing Luoyang’s millennium of wind and clouds from the Xia, Shang, to Sui and Tang dynasties. Climbing the Xiguan Emperor Temple section reveals Ming Dynasty brick and Tang Dynasty rammed earth layers interlocked and stacked, with Han Dynasty pottery shards and Song Dynasty porcelain shards mixed within the rammed earth, telling the story of civilizations overlapping and evolving.
