Qian Dao Scenic Area is located in Xinghua, Taizhou, a natural scroll blending Jiangnan water towns with agricultural civilization. It is renowned for its “ridge paddy” landform, with vast rice paddies spread out like a chessboard, with crisscrossing channels resembling silver threads dividing the paddy fields into countless “water mountains.” During the spring, fields of rapeseed flowers roll out in golden hues, and in autumn, the rice waves surge like silk, depicting the poetic cycle of the earth through the changing seasons. Visitors can take a boat ride through the water maze, wander through bridges and paddy fields, and experience the elegant atmosphere of “small bridges and water residences,” or ascend to observation platforms to overlook the “three east-west, three north-south” paddy field pattern, and appreciate the wisdom of ancient people “borrowing land for land, using water as a road.”
