Qingyuan Shan
Qingyuan Shan is located in Quanzhou, Fujian, and is one of the few places in the Minnan region that combines natural wonders with cultural heritage. The mountain’s peaks are lush and covered in clouds and mist, with unique rocks and waterfalls, particularly the “Jiu Xi Shiyi” (Nine Streams and Eight Canyons) which runs throughout the mountain, with babbling brooks and swaying bamboo, creating a refreshing and serene atmosphere. Numerous cliff carvings are scattered throughout the mountain, with over one hundred existing carvings from the Song to Qing dynasties, with strong characters and content primarily consisting of Daoist philosophy and the musings of scholars, resembling an open-air calligraphy gallery.
