Cangxian Ancient City Wall
Cangxian Ancient City Wall, dating back to the Ming Dynasty, is the best-preserved earthen rampart site along the Grand Canal. Standing at a maximum height of 12 meters and winding for three kilometers, it witnesses the glorious history of Cangzhou as a key canal town. The wall is constructed of rammed earth, with tightly packed layers and clear pits, showcasing the ingenuity of ancient craftsmen. A wide wall top allows for vehicle and horse traffic, featuring horse-faced battlements and remnants of signal towers, seemingly whispering the heroic tales of frontier soldiers.
