Located in the Pearl River Delta, this 5000-mu wetland is like emeralds embedded between cities, a secret realm for urban dwellers to converse with nature. Here, it is not only a stopover for migratory birds, but also a living museum of the intersection of ecology and culture. Every spring and autumn, tens of thousands of white egrets and black-faced herons dance in the reeds, and with the migrating geese, they jointly paint a long scroll of the heavens and earth, forming a poetic scene of “sunset glow and solitary egrets flying together.”
