Chen Jia Ci, also known as Chen Shi Shu Yuan, is the first of the Four Famous Halls of Lingnan, renowned as a “living fossil” of Lingnan architectural art. It is famous for its exquisite carvings, with the entire hall integrating wood carvings, stone carvings, brick carvings, ash plaster, and ceramic sculptures, covering historical allusions, opera figures, flowers, birds, and fish, all lifelike and breathtaking. The ceramic ridge ornaments on the “Ear-Shaped Roof” showcase the grandeur of the Qing Dynasty ancestral hall with their dynamic poses.
