The Ruins of YanCheng, located in Chuanshou Xueyan Town, are the earliest and best-preserved ruins of a castle from the Spring and Autumn period in China, known as “The First City of Jiangnan.” Its unique “Three Rivers, Three Cities” layout, with a winding defensive moat, connects the inner city, middle city, and outer city defense systems, showcasing the vicissitudes of the Wu culture’s origin.
