An Yang Ancient City Wall stands majestically on the southern slope of the Taihang Mountains, it is the most complete Ming Dynasty rammed earth city wall site in the Central Plains region. Its heavy soil walls and intricate defense system tell of six hundred years of storms and hardship. The wall winds along the mountain’s contours, over ten kilometers long, with a width of eight meters, the walls are constructed in layers of yellow clay, each layer approximately 20 centimeters thick, still as solid as a rock after centuries of wind and frost, showcasing the outstanding architectural wisdom of the ancient working people.
