Longshan has long inspired poets and scholars. Qing Dynasty poet Zha Shenxing once composed his celebrated quatrain "Mist and Rain of Longshan" here, while modern writer Shen Congwen lingered in admiration during his travels. Winding through the hills, ancient trails—once vital trade routes—still reveal traces of history in their weathered flagstones.
