Tianya Haijiao, located in Sanya, features two giant stones marking a boundary, inscribed with the characters "Tianya Haijiao." It’s a symbol of Sanya’s culture, combining natural wonders with human stories. Within the scenic area, the Tianya Stone resembles a giant beast, while the Haijiao Stone resembles a silver dragon reaching for the sea. The two stones are separated by 100 meters, and the waves gently kiss the rocks during the ebb and flow of the tide, creating an illusion of time and space frozen in place. Among the cliff stone carvings, Su Shi’s inscription “Hai Kuo Tian Kong” (Vast Sea, Limitless Sky) and Zhang Yuesong’s characters “Tianya” (Horizon, Sea) shine together, telling a story of a thousand-year cultural lineage.
