Ningbo Children's Park
Ningbo Children's Park, inspired by a fairy-tale world, seamlessly blends fantasy with nature, creating a joyful paradise for families. The park’s signature attraction is the Rainbow Slide—a 128-meter-long rainbow-colored tunnel winding through a secret forest, where children experience the thrill of speed and vibrant colors as they glide down. The Animal Kingdom features over 200 rare animal species; playful red pandas, gentle giraffes, and other creatures roam leisurely through naturalistic habitats, delighting visitors with their charm. The parent-child interactive zone includes a Creative Workshop and a Dreamland Theater, where families can bond through hands-on pottery-making sessions and fairy-tale performances. At the heart of the park stands the "Fairy-Tale Castle," crowned with turrets and a stained-glass dome that creates an enchanting space. Inside, themed areas like the Magic Academy and Elf Forest come alive with dynamic lighting and immersive storytelling, transporting guests into a magical realm. The park uniquely integrates elements of Ningbo’s intangible cultural heritage—such as patterns from traditional fishermen of eastern Zhejiang adorning the carousel—to harmoniously blend childhood wonder with local cultural identity. As Ningbo’s first large-scale theme park, its origins trace back to a children’s recreation plan from the 1950s, when it was fondly known as the “Red Scarf Amusement Park” in locals’ memories. Despite evolving through the decades, it has always upheld its founding spirit: “keeping childhood hearts turned toward the sun.” Nestled within the grounds is the Wangchao Pavilion, whose name draws inspiration from Ningbo’s tidal culture. Inscribed on its pillars is a verse by Qi Jiguang, the renowned Ming Dynasty military general: “Tides ebb and flow by heaven’s will,” weaving historical echoes into modern play spaces and ensuring that the joy of childhood flows eternally through time.
