Jìngān Sì is located in the Jing’an District of Shanghai, the oldest Buddhist temple in Shanghai, its Tibetan-style architecture and Zen garden complement each other, forming a beautiful oriental painting. The temple’s golden roof features ornate eaves and glazed tiles that reflect the sunlight, with the main hall housing three gilded Buddha statues of Sakyamuni, solemn and dignified. The Tibetan scripture pavilion houses ancient books and prayer flags that flutter in the wind, telling the story of a thousand-year Buddhist connection. In the courtyard, the Taihu stone is stacked with green, the ancient Ginkgo trees are twisted and leaning, the release pool has a slight ripple of blue water, and white egrets often circle, full of Zen.
