Located in the heart of Nanyang’s ancient city, the Wulong District Culture Center is a cultural landmark integrating intangible cultural heritage inheritance and artistic practice. The center’s core theme is “Wan Yun Qian Nian” (Eternal Charm of a Thousand Years), recreating Nanyang’s millennium cultural lineage through immersive scenes, allowing visitors to touch the legacy of Chu and Han, and the civilization of the Central Plains. Intangible cultural heritage display areas showcase Nanyang mud sculptures, woodblock prints, and jade carvings. Lifelike mud dolls seem to tell the story of Zhang Heng, a [Eastern Han Dynasty] scientist, who observed the stars here. Faded woodblock scrolls record the legend of Zhuge Liang, a [Sichuan-based Shu Han Prime Minister]’s retreat at the thatched cottage.
