Located on the banks of the Houhe River, the library’s architecture resembles soaring birds with outstretched wings, blending streamlined steel structures with a Chinese ink painting style, interpreting the dynamism and weight of the Jianghai culture. It features a children’s reading area, with painted walls and three-dimensional book structures creating a fairytale space; the digital experience center is equipped with holographic projection and VR reading devices, allowing classic literature to be reborn in light and shadow. The top floor features the “Jianghai Cultural Line” exhibition area, displaying Qing Dynasty and modern newspapers, witnessing Nantong’s journey from industrial salvation to cultural prosperity over a hundred years.
