Ju Mu Long Grassland
Ju Mu Long Grassland is located in the depths of Linzhi, representing the most representative highland meadow landscape in the Southern Tibetan Valley. In summer, the meadows spread like jade, interspersed with wildflowers amidst undulating green waves, and dust kicked up by horse hooves carries the scent of fresh grass, creating a refreshing and serene experience. It is a natural pasture for horseback riding, and more importantly, it is renowned for its “Three Colors”: silver-lit snow mountains in the morning mist, golden-lit lakes at midday, and azure meadows in the evening twilight. The fluttering multi-colored prayer flags along the spin cycle and the white tents of the Tibetan herders create a dialogue between faith and nature. The pastoralists follow a thousand-year-old nomadic tradition, bringing their yak herds to this place in the summer, with the sound of yak bells and the wind creating a unique highland symphony. This land was once a hub for trade between the Tibetan Empire and Nepal, and Zanpu Songzanbu (the Tibetan Emperor) once married Princess Wencun here, leaving behind the legend of "Mulong" meaning "a land of happiness." Today, traces of ancient trails can still be seen on the grassland, and the epic poem "Gesar's Legend" sung by the pastoralists in Tibetan, blends history and nature together. When the setting sun casts shadows on the meadow, it feels like you can hear the ancient pastoral songs echoing through time between the mountains and forests.
