The Nanchong City Museum, located on the banks of the Jialing River, houses over 2000 historical artifacts, like a scroll of time, depicting the millennium civilization of Northwestern China. Inside, lifelike Han Dynasty terracotta figures, with their flowing garments, evoke the lingering charm of Han Dynasty, while the agile "Ma Tu Fei Yan" (Horse-Riding Flying Swallow) and the majestic statue of Zhang Fei, a renowned general from the Three Kingdoms period, stand in contrast, telling the story of the fusion of the Three Kingdoms legacy and Ba Shu culture. The intangible cultural heritage experience area features the agile silhouettes of Northwestern shadow puppet performances and the "Langzhong Feng Shui Cultural Map" (Langzhong Feng Shui Cultural Map) flowing in light and shadow, allowing visitors to touch the temperature of intangible cultural heritage skills firsthand. The museum, themed around "The Millennia Civilization of Northwestern China," features three core exhibition areas: The Han Dynasty Artifacts Exhibition recreates the life scenes of ancient Ba Shu through pottery, weapons, and bamboo slips; the Zhang Fei Culture Special Exhibition displays artifacts from his life, showcasing his heroic image of "Eagle-Jaw Tiger Tusk"; and the Modern Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition presents Northwestern New Year paintings and lantern festivals through a living transmission method. The museum also features a "Ba Shu Civilization" immersive theater, using sound, light, and electricity to recreate the scene of the Northern Song political figure Fan Zhongyuan lecturing in Nanchong, bringing history to life.
