Rizhao Marine National Forest Park
Rizhao Marine National Forest Park is located on the southeast end of the Shandong Peninsula, a natural ecological painting combining blue seas, blue skies, and green forests. It boasts China’s largest coastal forest, with over 2,000 acres of artificial forests and natural vegetation interwoven into an emerald corridor, a 10-kilometer golden beach of fine sand, the sound of tides resonating with the forest’s rustling leaves, creating a unique coastal symphony. The core scenic area, “Forest of Sunrise Viewing,” is a breathtaking sight; in the morning mist, a 30-kilometer forest trail winds around the mountains, and reaching the viewing platform allows you to witness the magnificent sunrise where the sea and sky merge, with the rosy clouds reflecting the sunlight, seabirds flying over the treetops, creating a dreamlike scene. The wetland ecological zone is a paradise for bird watchers, with thousands of migratory birds dancing among the reeds during the spring and autumn migration seasons, white egrets and red-crested cockatoos residing and breeding here.
