Zayepa Temple is located amidst the precipitous cliffs outside of Litiz, resembling an aerial Buddhist kingdom meticulously crafted by heaven. The temple buildings are built into the mountains, with soaring eaves and bracket structures suspended over the cliffs, creating a strong visual contrast between the red-lacquered wooden doors and the mottled rock walls.
