The heart of the street features an interactive experience zone where visitors can hand-apply a secret sauce, experiencing the ancient technique of “three steaming and three frying,” with every piece of bakaji reflecting the Dezhou people’s devotion to ingredients. This street lane was built during the Qing Dynasty and was once a key transportation route for northern and southern ingredients. During the reign of the Qianlong Emperor, he stayed here and praised its “meat like jade, sauce penetrates the bone.”
