Deer Lihai Volcanic Group
Deer Lihai Volcanic Group is located in the Haixi Prefecture of Qinghai Province, it is a rare volcanic landform group on the northeastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, formed approximately 2 million years ago during the late Pleistocene. It is a dormant volcano. The volcanic crater resembles a dormant giant, with a diameter of up to 200 meters, with steep edges and abundant vegetation inside, contrasting sharply with the surrounding grasslands. Lava flows have created undulating black basalt plateaus, interwoven with golden grasslands and azure lakes, forming a highly dynamic natural landscape in the wilderness. In spring, wildflowers are abundant, in autumn, the meadows turn golden, and in winter, snow covers the crater, offering a different visual spectacle in each season.
