Shimen Jian is hidden deep within the heart of Mount Lu, like an unfolding ink scroll. Featuring deep gorges, cascading waterfalls, and strange rocks and trees, it creates a natural scroll-painting. The cliffs on either side are sheer, covered in moss and vines, as if time has solidified into a natural art gallery. Two waterfalls cascade down from the clouds, with three tiers of waterfalls crashing down, refracting into rainbows in the roaring water. Dragon’s Pool is a placid lake, reflecting clouds and light. Strange rocks like “Divine Turtle Watching the Moon” and “Tiger Listening to the Spring” are scattered throughout. Ancient trees with twisted branches and roots are intertwined, and the moss-covered areas hide thousands of years.
