Shuangjingzhen Ancient Opera House was built during the Qing Dynasty and is one of the best-preserved traditional opera houses in Jinzhong. The wooden structure showcases the beauty of ancient architecture with intricate mortise-and-tenon joints, while the stage base is constructed of blue stone bricks. The carvings and paintings on the sides of the opera house vividly depict scenes from classic plays such as “Mu Guiying Hanging Up the Banner” and “That Gold Branch.”
