A Memorial Hall of the Hu Family, located in Xuancheng, is a well-preserved Ming and Qing Dynasty ancestral hall complex in the Wannan region, renowned for its exquisite Huizhou architectural style and profound humanistic heritage. Inside, the soaring eaves and intricate brick carvings create a stunning visual effect, while the six carved window frames in the main hall depict the “Twenty-Four Deified Sons” legend. Lifelike wooden sculptures and painted glazed tile fountains tell the story of Hu family spirit. Before the stone steps is the plaque “Loyalty and Filial Piety,” written by Hu Wen Zhao, a Qing Dynasty official, with strong and powerful characters.
