This village is located in the western Lingxi section of the Three Gorges, integrating landscape paintings, pristine villages, and Tujia folk customs into a beautiful and secret realm. Traveling by bamboo raft through the gaps between the steep cliffs, the waves crash against the hull, and the sound of monkeys echoes through the mist, as if traveling through a thousand years. On the ancient cableway paved with blue stone, the calls of the ancient cablemen resonate with the river, telling the epic poem of “Departing from Baidi in a Rainbow Cloud.” The clusters of Tujia suspended foot houses are scattered among the cliffs, and the Xilan Kapu brocade flows beneath the eaves, while the rhythmic beats of hand-drumming awaken the dormant memories of the nation.
