The temple, located in Hunyuan County, Datong, is the ancestral home of Sima Guang, a prominent figure of the Northern Song Dynasty. Inside, ancient cypresses create a serene atmosphere, and copies of the “Zizhi Tongjian” (Comprehensive Mirror to All Histories) manuscripts are displayed, evoking a rich scholarly ambiance.
