Located in Guyuan, Ningxia, Honghuasi is the most complete Xia Dynasty Buddhist temple that exists today. Its architectural complex takes advantage of the terrain, blending Tibetan and Han architectural styles to showcase a unique religious art charm. Inside the temple, the Ming Dynasty’s “Miaofa Lianhua Jing” woodblock printed scripture edition, with its sharp and vigorous carvings and elegant decoration, is a precious object for studying Xia Dynasty Buddhism and printing techniques.
