Located south of the ancient city of Shangqiu, the Yu Shun Culture Garden is based on the Yu Shun legend, blending ancient civilization with modern art. The core of the park is “De Xiao Square,” featuring a nine-foot-tall bronze statue of Emperor Shun holding a hoe, symbolizing the dawn of agricultural civilization. The “Jiayu Ancient Music” performance area features musicians in Hanfu playing ancient instruments such as bronze bells, stone chimes, and bamboo flutes, performing the magnificent atmosphere of the “Jiayu” rituals during Emperor Shun’s time. The featured attraction “Bai Shun Corridor” showcases the legend of Emperor Shun’s “ filial piety moved the heavens” through long-scroll reliefs, with the “ filial mother tasting grass” scene being particularly stunning.
