The building’s interior, designed around the concept of a “Cultural Corridor,” features a spiraling atrium connecting the three floors. Mirror installations on the floor reflect moving light and shadows, symbolizing the inheritance and extension of knowledge. The creative goods market showcases Gansu’s non-material cultural heritage, Dunhuang creative products, and Longdong folk crafts. Each exhibit holds a secret code from the Silk Road. The themed exhibitions use holographic projection and interactive devices to recreate the forty-plus years of the “Reader” magazine’s publishing history, showcasing its “cultivating people through culture” spirit.
