Zhu-Mao Shoulder Pole Path
Zhu Mao's Mule Path winds through the steep cliffs of Jinggang Mountain, stretching about three kilometers in length. The path is lined with weathered stone steps that rise and fall with the mountain’s natural contours, resembling piano keys extending into the misty clouds beyond. This ancient trail once served as a vital lifeline for the Red Army, carrying food and supplies during their struggle. Even today, the footprints left by porters long ago can still be seen etched into the stone, worn smooth by time and effort. On the weathered rock walls, the famous inscription “A spark can start a prairie fire” remains visible—a powerful reminder of the revolutionary spirit that once burned fiercely here. The path not only connects physical terrain but also bridges history and memory, offering visitors a tangible link to the resilience and determination of those who walked it during China’s turbulent past.
