Zhihe Ecological Park is nestled north of LinYi, with the Zhihe River winding through the city like a jade ribbon, weaving together nature and culture into a flowing painting. The park’s core is an ecological corridor, featuring an 8.5-kilometer greenway where you can encounter white herons rising from reed beds or listen to the gentle sound of water beneath the cherry blossom path, experiencing the seamless integration of city and nature. With a vegetation coverage rate exceeding 90%, the park presents different landscapes in each season, with spring featuring pink peach blossoms and green willows, and autumn showcasing a full spectrum of autumn foliage, serving as a natural oxygen bar for citizens to connect with nature. The park is divided into three main themed areas: an ecological wetland, a cultural corridor, and a children’s playground. The wetland is filled with reeds, providing habitat for water birds, and features an ecological observation boardwalk for close-up observation of migratory birds; the cultural corridor is set against ancient brick walls, engraved with the ancient charm of the Fei State, recreating the historical scene of “Zhihe Surrounds the City.” A special feature is the “Fei Gong Memorial” [the ruler of the Fei State during the Spring and Autumn Period], telling the story of the Fei State’s construction of the city two thousand years ago, inspiring contemplation.
