Qu Shan Shi Fo Si
A Thousand-Year Ancient Temple located in Zhuyangdian City, Zhuyangdian Prefecture, Henan Province, established during the Tang Dynasty’s reign of Emperor Zhenguan. It is one of the best-preserved Tang Dynasty Buddhist stone cave sites in the Central Plains region. The temple features a magnificent collection of cliff-carved stone Buddha statues, with the 12-meter-tall Lushan Buddha being particularly striking, with a serene and dignified expression, eyes like burning torches, and flowing robes that appear to move with the wind, showcasing the peak of Tang Dynasty sculpture art. The surrounding mountains are lush and verdant, with ancient pines standing tall, most famous for the “Fo Guang Yan” landscape.
