A Giant River Island in the Xiang River, approximately 1.5 kilometers long, resembling a jade belt spanning the river's heart. The island head is shaded by lush trees, with fragrant flowers in spring (Wisteria) and autumn (Chinese Privet), and the river breeze gently caresses the face as the blue waves of the Xiang River and the green shadows of the island create a captivating scene, like a flowing ink painting. At the island’s tail stands the Mao Zedong Youth Art Sculpture, depicting Mao Zedong in his youth wearing a Zhongshan suit, with a burning gaze, standing on the waves, symbolizing the revolutionary flame ignited here, becoming the most striking spiritual totem on the banks of the Xiang River. The winding riverside path offers a panoramic view of the Xiang River’s relentless flow. The island head viewing platform is the best shooting point, overlooking the Yuelu Mountain and Zhizi Zhou Bridge in harmony, and close-up, the flickering fishing lights in the river’s heart resemble falling stars, as if entering the human world. The island also preserves the ruins of the Ming and Qing dynasties’ “Shuili Zhou” site, witnessing the vicissitudes of the thousand-year-old island.
