Jìngyuè Tán
A vast lake surrounded by mountains and European-style architecture, creating a picturesque scene. This natural scenic area, known as a “natural oxygen bar,” offers a tranquil escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. The clear lake reflects the surrounding forests and buildings, resembling a moving oil painting. Key attractions include the wetland, the lakeside promenade, and the lakeside trail. Visitors can take boat rides on the lake, enjoying the serenity of the sky and water, or walk along the shaded paths, listening to the sounds of birds and pine trees. The “Forest Museum” on the west side of the lake displays specimens of Northeast tigers and black bears, showcasing ecological diversity. Jìngyuè Tán was built in 1932 by Soviet engineers and was originally a royal hunting ground for the Puppet Manchu Dynasty. It was later expanded into a modern ecological area. This area is a paradise for nature lovers and carries the red memories of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Coalition, serving as a secret meeting place for anti-Japanese fighters. The “Celestial Platform” still exists among the trees, witnessing the wisdom of Manchurian ancestors coexisting with nature. Walking along the lake, you can appreciate the grandeur of the artificial forest and feel the silent dialogue between history and nature, a model of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
