Chongqing Happy Valley is nestled in the heart of this mountainous city, offering an immersive entertainment destination that seamlessly integrates technology, art, and nature. Themed around “Enchanted Mountain City,” the park ingeniously blends Chongqing’s unique three-dimensional terrain with Bayu culture to create three core zones: the thrilling “Soaring Over Mountain City” roller coaster cluster; the “Magic Track,” which winds through biomimetic architecture; and the “Water Rhythm Promenade,” a water park inspired by the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers. At night, holographic projection transforms the confluence of the two rivers into a starry celestial realm, where thousands of shimmering lights ripple across the hillsides, staging the live nighttime spectacular “Banquet of the Mountain City” and immersing guests in a dreamlike experience.
Within the park, the “Bayu Mystique” themed zone recreates ancient Ba Kingdom sacrificial ceremonies, inviting visitors to participate in intangible cultural heritage activities like traditional copper forging and Shu embroidery, thereby connecting with the millennia-old artisan spirit of Bayu. Meanwhile, the “Air-Raid Shelter Secret Path,” modeled after Chongqing’s wartime air-raid shelters, uses VR technology to vividly resurrect the “Era of the Wartime Capital,” bringing history to life through light and shadow. Beyond its more than 20 attractions—including “Soaring Over Mountain City” and “Interstellar Voyage”—the park also features interactive installations such as “Memories of the Mountain City,” forging emotional connections between visitors and iconic landmarks like Hongya Cave and the Yangtze River Cableway.
As Southwest China’s first indoor theme park, Happy Valley draws upon the cultural DNA of legendary Eastern Han general Ba Manzi’s “loyalty and righteousness” and revolutionary martyr Sister Jiang’s “Hongyan Spirit,” infusing every detail with the resilience and romance unique to Chongqing. As dusk falls, dazzling light shows merge with the night views of the Yangtze River, creating a living scroll of flowing mountains and waters—revealing the most enchanting essence of the “Magic Mountain City.”
