A riverside park featuring rows of willows, located on the banks of the ancient Lijiang River, combining natural ecology and human sentiment into a poetic space. In spring, weeping willows grow along the river, with countless willow catkins dancing in the wind, like smoke and snow, dyeing the Lijiang River into a flowing ink painting. The park’s pathways wind through, with moss-covered stone slabs and the shade of willows, where elderly people and children often exercise in the morning, enjoying a relaxed and lively atmosphere. The park’s core landscape, “Willow Shade Corridor,” is a kilometer long, with willow branches drooping to the water’s surface, complementing the river’s shimmering reflections. In spring, you can admire the willow catkins flying, in summer, the shade provides relief, and in autumn, golden willows sway, offering different scenery in all four seasons. The remnants of the Lijiang River wharf area preserve the traces of Qing Dynasty shipping docks, and the moss-covered steps seem to tell the story of the bustling trade ships of the past. Within the park, there is a cultural corridor engraved with poems about willows by successive generations of scholars, including a stele inscribed with “Willow Shore Ripples” written by Li Yuan, a Qing Dynasty governor of Lijiang, with strong and elegant characters, perfectly complementing the willow’s delicate beauty.
